The 5D BIM software for a construction cost management

Through JOIN 5D module it is possible to obtain bill of quantities starting with the 3D of a BIM model in IFC format. JOIN generates the cost calculation by applying rules that allow you both to relate the items in the unit price list with the BIM objects present in the IFC files and to establish the measurement criteria by indicating lengths, widths, heights, areas, volumes, … all these are available in the geometric properties of BIM objects. Once you get the bill of quantities, this is always synchronized with the 3D model and automatically updated every time the BIM model changes.

Specific diagnostic functions report elements not calculated and any rules inconsistencies, e.g. for price lists not updated to the latest version.

The 5D module is not just a generator of estimated bill of quantities. In fact, it should be considered as a container both of data present in the IFC file and of added attributes (construction stages, contractors, suppliers, contractual information, …) useful for managing a construction during its life cycle.

The model (3D), times (4D) and costs (5D) modules are synchronized.
